What is the difference between the OpenVZ and the KVM VPS plans?

Apart from the offered features, the difference between these plans lies in the virtualization technology that the two VPS types are using. OpenVZ servers, or 'containers', share the kernel of the host Operating System and are "aware" of their being virtual. KVM servers, on the other hand, run on the host machine's hardware and are "unaware" that they have been fully virtualized. To learn more about OpenVZ and KVM, check the official websites:
